Frequently Asked Questions
We work with individuals, families, and businesses who want help making sense of their financial lives. Whether you’re approaching retirement, just bought your first home, or aren’t sure what to do with an old retirement account from a previous job, we can help. You don’t need to be at a certain stage of life or have everything figured out before reaching out.
If you engage us for investment management, you can choose from several fee structures based on the assets we manage for you:
Flat Fee
Tiered Fee
Performance Fee
Each option also includes a small custodial fee.
For financial planning services that do not include investment management, we typically charge a project-based fee. We’ll discuss the applicable fee structure and costs with you before you engage us.
Just bring yourself and a general idea of what you’d like to discuss. You don’t need to gather a stack of documents before our first conversation.
The first meeting is really about getting to know you, understanding your situation, and making sure we’re the right people to help. If it looks like we’re a good fit, we’ll typically schedule a second meeting and send you a simple list of any documents or information we’ll need to dig deeper.
No homework before we meet - just come ready to have a conversation.
The moment we agree to work together, you’re our client - and we treat you like one from Day 1.
Transferring accounts, gathering information, and building out your financial plan can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, depending on your situation. But our relationship doesn’t start when the paperwork is finished or when we get paid. It starts when you decide to work with us.
From that point forward, we’re here to help.
